Every product PlayBlue sells has to physically get somewhere - into a warehouse, out to a customer across India, or into a bag in minutes via quick commerce. None of that infrastructure exists yet. You're going to build it: the warehousing, the fulfilment, the delivery network, the returns loop. And then run it so orders go out fast, cheap, and right. If moving physical product at speed is what you're good at, read on.
What you'll own
Stand up the warehouse. You'll set up inbound from 20+ brands, storage and layout, put-away, and the inventory accuracy that everything downstream depends on. If stock counts drift, orders break - keeping them true is on you.
Own fulfilment end to end. National e-commerce shipping, quick commerce delivery, and store replenishment - three different clocks, one operation. You'll pick 3PLs, last-mile carriers, and the quick commerce delivery model, negotiate the rates, and hold them to SLAs. You'll design the pick-pack-ship flow so it holds up at 10x the volume, not just launch day.
Own the returns loop. Apparel and footwear come back - sizing, fit, change of mind. You'll build reverse logistics that gets product back into sellable stock fast instead of leaking margin.
Run it on numbers. Cost per order, delivery SLAs, fill rate, return rate, inventory accuracy - you'll build the dashboards, watch them, and act when they move the wrong way. The goal is a logistics operation that scales without breaking and without a founder in the loop.
What we're looking for
5-8 years in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or fulfilment - ideally in e-commerce, retail, or quick commerce, and you've stood something up, not just kept it running. You've managed 3PLs and carriers, owned inventory accuracy, and lived with delivery SLAs and unit economics as your problem. You're a strong operator: on the floor when it's launch week, in the model when you're negotiating rates.
Quick commerce or hyperlocal delivery experience is a real plus - the clock and the density are different, and you should know it. Experience across consumer, retail, apparel, or footwear helps. Bonus points if you've built warehousing from zero, run omnichannel fulfilment (store + online + q-comm off shared stock), or both.
Why now, why PlayBlue
You won't inherit someone else's warehouse, someone else's 3PL contracts, or someone else's broken processes. You'll build the physical engine of a brand defining a new category in Indian sport - from zero, with real ownership from day one. That's a rare thing. Come talk to us if you want it.
The best sports brands in India will all be in one place. We're building that place. Come be part of it.
Fast-moving, sport-obsessed, building something India's never had. If that sounds like your kind of problem, let’s talk?
